My first thing...

I decided to join 23 things for Professional Development as I had heard about other similar courses and was looking into setting one up locally so this was an ideal opportunity for me to kill two birds with one stone.  I have previously been on Web 2.0 courses, some a long time ago so things have changed.  I am always looking for ways of improving library service delivery and technologies that make my life easier.  I have been working in an NHS library for 10 years, the NHS network can be inhibitive to this type of thing but at least I have managed to create a blog.   Following this course enables me to dedicate some exclusive time to it.  This is my first time blogging and I'm finding it a little bit scary knowing that what I say here will be out there...
